Meisenheimer Hof
Farm to table, Modern French · ★ Michelin
€€€
In this pretty little restaurant you can savour the ambitious classic and regional cuisine rustled up by your dedicated host and head chef Markus Pape. The staff gladly recommend wines from the nearby Disibodenberg estate to pair with dishes such as "Soonwald venison served two ways – loin and leg, sea buckthorn, celeriac, root vegetables, radicchio, sauce grand veneur". The various buildings of the Meisenheimer Hof make for an attractive mix of the historical and modern – in the restaurant as well as in the hotel's themed guestrooms. In summer, the terrace between the buildings is delightful.

Schwarz Gourmet
French, International · ★ Michelin
€€€€
The Schwarz family has been running its two restaurants in this pretty red-sandstone building since 2017. One is the chic Schwarz Gourmet, where the chef – who is no stranger to the fine dining scene – proposes a set menu (four to six courses) in which he likes to combine international ingredients with others from the local region. One standout dish brings together a slice of delightfully soft braised Duroc pork belly infused with deep roasted notes, a super-fresh and perfectly seared Breton scallop, and a crisp, fresh salad of diced radish and apple. A rich reduced teriyaki sauce with bold se

Admiral
Contemporary, Modern Cuisine · ★ Michelin

An institution in the region, this is a truly charming restaurant, which the owners have been running with dedication for over 10 years now. Chef-patron Holger Stehr serves up his interesting take on modern cuisine in the form of a five- to eight-course set menu, skilfully combining building on classic French foundations with Far Eastern-Japanese influences. Diners are welcomed by hostess Martina Kraemer-Stehr, who is trained as a sommelier and responsible for the friendly and proficient service. The wine list and recommendations are also compelling – you can look forward to wines by the glass

In the centre of Wachenheim, opposite the church, Kirche St Georg, Bettina and Benjamin Peifer present their exciting concept! After welcome drinks and appetisers in Gud Stubb (the former vicarage), you are introduced to their culinary philosophy in the pantry; you then take a seat in the minimalist, urban-style restaurant area, either at the counter with a direct view into the kitchen – a special experience – or at one of the small tables or in a koshitsu (a separate nook). A special fusion of the cuisines of the Palatinate and Japan is served. Think "izakaya- style" pigeon: juicy, grilled pi

Hotel, restaurants, event venue – the former Bassermann-Jordan-Weingut operates as all of the above. It is a special world, and the experience begins the moment you step onto the beautiful estate. Historical architecture blends seamlessly with modern interior design, both in Ketschauer Hof hotel and in the fine dining restaurant, which is tucked away in the peaceful courtyard, complete with a lovely terrace. Uncompromising quality underpins everything here. Chef Daniel Schimkowitsch crafts clean, creative cuisine. Bringing to bear his own distinctive style, he skilfully incorporates Japanese i

n institution with a long tradition and a reputation that extends beyond the region for good reason. Here at Hotel Deidesheimer Hof, the dedication of the Hahn family is plain to see, including when it comes to the restaurant. In this beautiful historical building, the contrast between the old cross vault and the modern table settings and colourful decor is spot on. Prepared using select produce, the dishes can be ordered as a set menu or à la carte. It goes without saying that they have the regional classic Saumagen (stuffed pig's stomach) on the menu. Kaupers Restaurant im Kapellenhof
Modern Cuisine, Creative · ★ Michelin

This compact restaurant has the potential to become a firm favourite – so why not book without further ado? It is somewhat tucked away, but the effort to get there pays dividends, which is down to Nora Breyer and Sebastian Kauper (both trained chefs) and the setting of the Kapellenhof, an estate that dates back over 300 years. Working together beneath the gable roof as a well-oiled machine, this affable couple has created an extremely warm and welcoming atmosphere. Your hostess provides friendly service and will also be able to recommend some excellent wines. In his modern, seasonal cuisine, S

This little restaurant is located in the middle of the old town, in a narrow side street near the Eiermarkt. The dining area has a rustic feel and tightly packed table, which contributes to the charming atmosphere, as does the cordial proprietress, who is in charge of the service. The delicious options are written on the blackboard and also come in smaller portions as a surprise menu. The impressive wine list features around 230 labels.
