Welcome to Our, a picturesque Ardennes village nestling in peaceful countryside, that has become a beacon for savvy gourmets thanks to Maxime Collard. He has forged his own style back in his homeland, turning an old farmstead into a stylish, fashionable restaurant, whose many windows and mirrors seem to invite the countryside indoors. The establishment offers accommodation in the area to enhance the pleasure of a meal here. Chef Collard steers clear of showing off his extensive technical background, preferring to highlight the essence of a few premium ingredients, local whenever possible. Exam

Barathym is synonymous with good food in a warm, laid-back vibe, whether on the terrace or in the updated rustic village cafe interior. The bistronomic lineup is the handiwork of Romain and Valentin, whose traditional seasonal recipes are pepped up with the odd modern note. How about a piece of fork-tender local pork wrapped in speck and served with a gutsy mustard sauce, potatoes in their jackets, a puree of celery and a creamy cheese sauce? On Mondays, there is a set four-course menu; on the other days of the week, you devise your own three-course menu or choose from the à la carte score. Co

This restaurant is a ‘must’ for any foodie who finds themselves in Rochefort. The elegant family restaurant of chef Stéphane (dad), Magali and Loïk (mother and son in the front of house) pampers its guests in a contemporary Ardennes setting, flanked by an eye-catching wine cellar. The restaurant’s wholehearted personality and Gallic slant are expressed in artistic plating and a passion for local produce, whose suppliers are listed on the menu. An example: an île flottante with a vibrant kiwi jus, finely diced mango and a Pina colada ice cream to die for! The most challenging test will be makin
