If you are looking to combine real fine dining with designer shopping, then head to the second floor of the renowned Garhammer shopping complex. At your table in the sleek, sophisticated surroundings, you can tuck into Michael Simon Reis's innovative take on Bavarian Forest cuisine. The Passau-born chef-patron has an aptitude for combining modern, traditional and seasonal elements, all the while placing great value on produce sourced from the region. You eat well here, and furthermore the regional cuisine comes at very fair prices. The home-reared beef, for example, is sure to whet the appetite. The ambience is friendly, cosy and rustic. The converted cowshed is a great venue for parties. In the hotel of the same name, the guestrooms are furnished with natural wood furniture.

The Schuster family's country inn is thoroughly charming! This is primarily down to the warm hospitality extended by the lady of the house, and the tasteful interior design. And then there are the chef-patron's seasonally influenced classic dishes such as pike-perch sausage accompanied by creamed sauerkraut with dates, or venison with nuts, black walnut sauce, cranberries and Savoy cabbage. Individual courses from each of the two set menus ("Tradition" and "Genusswerk") can be ordered à la carte. Decent wine selection with good options available by the glass.
