Modern Cuisine, International · ★★ Michelin

Set within the car-free enclave of Oberlech, Burg Vital Resort is home to this stylish wood-panelled restaurant. In the small open kitchen, Sebastian Jakob (formerly of Schloss Ellmau) and his team create flavoursome dishes using outstanding ingredients and incorporating a judicious and intriguing Japanese twist. One example: wonderfully tender and succulent langoustine served with a mildly spicy cream of wasabi greens, delicately flavoured edamame, lightly smoked eel and an elegant, frothy shellfish sauce. A knowledgeable sommelier is on hand to guide you through the seemingly endless wine ce

As well as tasteful, individually designed guestrooms, Hotel Arlberg is home to this elegant restaurant, which is accessed via a separate entrance. Ornate details such as warm wood finishings, a partially painted ceiling, stylish upholstered armchairs and classic-style wall lamps create a wonderful atmosphere, which is complemented by experienced and attentive service. Then there is the Alpine-Mediterranean cuisine, which they dub "Monte e Mare". The tasting menu, comprising five to eight courses, also comes in a vegetarian version. One outstanding dish is the tender, juicy lobster medallion i

Rote Wand Chef's Table
Modern Cuisine, Creative · ★★ Michelin

In the exclusive Rote Wand Gourmet Hotel – formerly a modest inn in Zug's old schoolhouse – guests are treated to a very special culinary experience. After an aperitif and a selection of appetisers in the little parlour downstairs, you proceed upstairs to a chic dining area in which warm wood meets sleek design; there you take a seat on one of the comfortable bar chairs arranged around a horseshoe counter. A special atmosphere reigns here, and this is due in no small part to the well-coordinated, charming and laid-back service team. Julian Stieger, who comes from Upper Austria, brings his high

Mountains, snow, a fantastic panoramic terrace and great food to boot! With its fresh and down-to-earth regional cuisine, this cosy Alpine-style restaurant at Burg Vital Resort makes a great alternative to Griggeler Stuba. The very friendly and competent waitstaff serve up delicious dishes such as Alpine char with red lentils, artichoke, tomato and winter tarragon. This is complemented by the same sensational wine selection as is served in the fine dining restaurant.

The Alpine Retreat is a luxurious little hotel, and this is its restaurant. Blending modern design and Alpine charm, its chic interior has a rather intimate and private feel to it. Tuck into dishes such as horseradish fagottini with celeriac and parsley, or gently cooked char from Zug with cauliflower done two ways and a vegetable jus. Tip: Don't miss out on your chance to try Kaiserschmarrn (shredded pancake)! In the evening, you can opt for a set menu or order à la carte; at lunchtime, there is a separate à la carte menu. The good food is complemented by an excellent selection of wines. Frie

This restaurant is located in the car-free village of Oberlech, more precisely in the Burghotel (an almost legendary place that started off as a small milk bar in the 1960s), right by the ski slope. In a cosy and tastefully designed setting, you can savour classic and regionally influenced dishes for lunch and dinner. Examples include beef tartare made from local fillet of beef, brook char fillet cooked on a salt stone, or pink-roasted venison crown from the hotel's own hunting grounds. In the evening, there is an additional seven-course fine dining set menu, which features mouthwatering creat

Housed in the lovely Hotel Berghof, this compact wood-panelled restaurant is rustic and cosy yet stylish. Tradition meets modern gastronomy in regional dishes with a contemporary twist – from fermented organic carrot and celery millefeuille with summer truffle to Vorarlberg Wagyu paired with porcini, and waffles with stewed sour cherries for dessert. There is also an impressive wine list dominated by Austrian labels but including options from elsewhere in the Old World and beyond. Attentive service is provided by a friendly and professional front-of-house team. Don't miss the opportunity to ha

In the small fine dining restaurant of Hotel Jagdhaus Monzabon, Michael Broger and his team deliver interesting modern cuisine that is big on flavour. Guests will also enjoy the charming service and expert wine recommendations that come courtesy of junior manager and sommelier Tobias Schneider, who also happens to be a certified sake sommelier – there is an extensive selection, and almost all are also served by the glass. The food, which delves into the region and uses many ingredients from local suppliers (the local game is excellent, for example), is also decidedly cosmopolitan. You can put
