San Genesio

Piedmontese, Contemporary

€€

Commanding a dominant position in the heart of this small hamlet, this historic restaurant — lovingly maintained through the years — has found renewed vigour since 2017 under a passionate and accomplished stewardship (here, fittingly, sommelier Simone’s christening was once celebrated). From the dining room and expansive terrace, one’s gaze sweeps across the surrounding landscape, and on the clearest days the vista extends even further, offering a panorama of considerable enchantment. The kitchen remains faithful to tradition, yet interpreted with contemporary freshness in its presentations and

Condividere

Italian Contemporary, Creative · ★ Michelin

Within the Nuvola complex of Lavazza, alongside recommending a visit to the Coffee Museum, Condividere springs from an idea and the consultancy of famed Spanish chef Ferran Adrià. It's the precise and extraordinary style of Chef Federico Zanasi that pampers its patrons. The dining room itself is unique, colourful, and vibrant, where music seems as prominent as the decor. Two tasting menus are offered: Festival and the longer Gran Festival, featuring a series of dishes and sometimes tastings that highlight the quality of raw materials, crafting recipes from few ingredients, occasionally technic

Gardenia

Piedmontese, Modern Cuisine

€€€

Even if you’re not a local, you’ll feel at home in this old property which offers a glimpse of the Piedmont of old. In this 19C building, with a typical balcony running along the inner courtyard, the atmosphere continues into the dining room and, of course, via the dishes on the menu. Here, regional cuisine is celebrated to the full, so you’ll find lots of meat (although some fish options are also available), accompanied by a carefully selected choice of vegetables, some grown in the restaurant’s own garden.

Residenza del Lago

Classic Cuisine, Traditional Cuisine

€€

The name pays tribute to Lake Candia, and we are in a mid-18th century farmhouse which is located within the town. You will find a pleasantly regional, family atmosphere and the restaurant’s traditional cuisine includes popular dishes such as onion cooked three different ways with a faux “bagna caoda” sauce and smoked ricotta.

Darmagi

Piedmontese, Traditional Cuisine

€€

‘Darmagi’ in dialect means ‘what a shame’, and it would indeed be a shame not to cross the threshold of this secluded little villa, enveloped in a warm and genuinely homey atmosphere, particularly evocative in the handsome dining room with its fireplace. The cooking celebrates with conviction the traditions of Piedmont and Canavese; on winter weekends, the fritto misto and bagna caoda are simply not to be foregone. In the warmer months, a pleasant terrace immersed in greenery, complemented by the convenience of ample parking.

Situated outside the town on top of a small hill, this elegant restaurant serves modern country cuisine, with some personal interpretations.
